Buick Unleashes a Smaller SUV for a New Audience

American automaker, Buick is aiming to capture the attention of a whole new automotive demographic, and they're doing it with vehicles like the 2012 Verano. Of course, even we here at KC Summers are willing to admit that they'll need more than one all-new addition to their lineup to do so. And that's why the company recently unveiled a new crossover SUV at the 2012 North American International Auto show.

Officially dubbed the 2013 Buick Encore, the vehicle is a smaller version, more or less, of the already-loved 2012 Buick Enclave. In creating the Encore, Buick knew that there were certain aspects of the Enclave that needed to be kept in check. For instance, one of the most loved traits of the American-made SUV is its cargo room. And while the new Encore is smaller, it retains a high level of space for passengers and cargo to occupy... 50 cubic feet of it with the seats folded down, to be exact.

Stepping outside, you'll notice features like its 18-inch aluminum wheels, distinctly-Buick front-end grille, and body that's compact in contrast to its interior cargo room. Meanwhile, it features a 1.4-liter turbo 4-cylinder engine under the hood, which promises to deliver somewhere in the range of 140 horsepower and 148 lb.-ft. of torque. In other words, the 2013 Buick Encore really is the total package.

And with that, we're guessing that there are more than a few drivers out there who can't wait to see it on our lot at 117 S 19th St Mattoon, IL 61938. Of course, if you simply cannot wait that long, then feel free to check out the other options that are immediately available in the new Buick lineup.
